Our broad plan for the day was to utilise the Hop-on-Hop-off bus to orientate ourselves and visit the sights. We were so keen, that we were actually too early for the first bus, so just near the stop we checked out a pretty little park - Jardins de la Tamarita.
Jardins de la Tamarita
Once we got on the bus, we saw enjoyed the sights of the city.
Gaudi's Basílica de la Sagrada Família
Gaudi’s Casa Batllo - I thought it looked like a dragon and now find out it means 'House of the Dragon'!
This city is really beautiful, with tree-lines streets
Even the street seats have a Gaudi influence
Gaudi's La Pedrera-Casa Milà
Details of the railing
Barcelona Bullring - Darryl was disappointed they have stopped fights
These open-topped busses give great views
An Art Gallery CaixaForum
Part of the art gallery exhibition
Lunch was at a Tapas Bar with Sangria, Paella, Calamarai and gelato.

We finished the day with a cool dip in the Hotel's roof pool
