North Queensland - 21 Aug 2021

We had decided we wanted to have another look around North Qld, and John, Al and Dell were interested in coming on, at least, some parts of it.

John wanted to have a look at Lake Dunn and Lake Gallillee, (which we'd never heard of), so that seemed the logical place to go first. After morning tea at Duaringa we drove north and John directed us firstly to Bingegang Weir.

A couple of trees provided a little shade for lunch, then it was out onto the highway and north past Dysart.

I haven't ever seen Dysart, and still haven't, as the road bypassed it, although we caught glimpses of the outskirts.

A really interesting spot, Lords Table Mountain section of Peak Range National Park was an excellent spot to set up camp for the night.

Unfortunately it is only about 40m off the main road and obviously the only entertainment for the locals was to beep their horns and yell out through the middle of the night as they drive past any campers. One lot stopped down the road, and had their music so loud that Dell thought they had actually pulled into the camp.
