Girraween - Walcha - Day 4

It was 7.5oC when I got up at 5:30. Darryl  went for an early walk to Castle Rock, The Sphinx and Turtle Rock while I tidied up and had breakfast. He was lucky enough to spot a lyrebird.

We rode the bikes up to Dr Roberts Waterhole & Disappearing Creek, which took around 40mins including pushing the bikes uphill through the winding range on bitumen & gravel. It was good that there was flowing water at the Creek but the wildflowers, unfortunately, were scant.

Back at camp we had lunch, packed up, had a shower and took the road south through Tenterfield, Glen Innes, around Armidale, Uralla and down to Walcha North Rest Area. Although it looks like a nice spot it is going to be a cold night.
