Walcha - Gloucester -Coledale Beach - Day 5

It was 4.5oC when we got up. Walcha seems a nice little town, but we didn't hang around. Our drive took us down Thunderbolt's Way through Nowendoc then Gloucester. At Gloucester we filled up, and a nice lady at the servo questioned where we were headed. When I said Karuah, and she said "no way!", the road was closed with fires. She advised us to go through Dungog and Singleton instead. We hit our first long section of dirt road, which at times was pretty narrow, but amazingly busy.

Arriving at Coledale Beach we set up camp at the little reserve run by the local lifesavers. We have seen lots of dead foxes on the road.
