Today was our relocation to Ao Nang. A trip which required a van, a ferry and then another van.
A family of 7 has a lot of luggage! |
Our second van was something else! We literally could not believe the flash gilded decor. The driver spent the whole trip chatting to his girlfriend and watching a movie on his phone! Eeek!
Plenty of room back there. |
Roadworks were happening in lots of places |
When we arrived our rooms weren't quite ready (we had booked 2 adjoining ones with a door between), so they put us temporarily in a very small flash room, which did have a great view of the upper pool.
Luckily there was a great Kids Club to keep the kids entertained. |
Once our rooms were ready, we moved in. There was a lovely tropical 'backyard'.
Once settled in, we went for a walk, to check out the neighbourhood, and work out where we were going to eat.
Very decorative streetlamps |
Not mine unfortunately |
Any sort of seafood is available |
We eventually settled for this place to eat, even though 'work was continuing' |
I can't remember what that was that Darryl had, but it 'looks' disgusting! |
In the evening we headed down to check out the Night Market, and followed that up with a night swim.
