On Monday we went
down to the delightful Market Square for a Canadian Breakfast of
Pancakes with Maple Syrup, Sausages & Coffee, met the mayor and
watched her sing the Canadian National Anthem just before the 5Km &
10Km Dash Race started. It turned out to be a pretty hot day, but we
walked out to visit the Museum (which had some nice displays), then
on to Reflection Lake to look at the wetlands, and watch the ducks.
Back in town was the Farmer's Markets, although it really was a craft
market as there was no produce for sale, and the Car
display/competition. In the evening we walked along the dyke to enjoy
the free Concert, and Fireworks which started at 10:45pm (and the sky
was STILL a bit light). A very hot day for Canadians with 35oC.
