Today we are leaving the Copper Triangle, so we headed north to Kadina for shopping and the car parade.

Locomotive in the park, built by Walker's Maryborough Qld from 1915 |
Leaving was somewhat delayed as Chris was sick (from having 'one' bite of a pasty a few days before). We made it to Port Pirie for lunch.

Amazing square gumnuts |

Another caterpillar nest, but I couldn't see any |
We had planned to see Mt Remarkable but it was closed so we pulled into Chinaman Creek free camp at Winninowie Conservation Park. It was flat, quite windy and rain was threatening. Doug Reilly the owner/caretaker came over and chatted for about an hour. He was collecting stats.

Quite a desolate looking place, but it's sand/mud flats |

Pittosporum spp |

Glasswort |
The wind died down and the rain stopped. We enjoyed BBQ's lamb chops for dinner and a lovely sunset.
