South Australia 3 May 2023

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

The main purpose of this South Australian trip was to attend the Cornish Festival (Kernewek Lowender) which was being held at the Copper Coast (Moonta, Kadina, and Wallaroo). Some of our Cornish ancestors migrated to Australia to work the mines and seek a better life.

Darryl likes to get started early, but I think we did well to be heading off at 10:30am.

Dululu Rest Area for morning tea.

A list of Pioneers of the Dululu district

Along the road near Wandoan
We passed fields of sorghum and quite a lot of emus.

Gil Weir campground south of Miles

Set up for the night with an almost full moon

Gil Weir

Happy hour was Vintage cheese, wine and liverwurst. It was quite cool.
