A bit of a cold start to the day!
We were packed up and on the road by 9:15, heading for Wilcannia.

Along the road we saw kangaroos and 2 pigs, and eventually arrived at Menindee Lakes where we camped for the night.

We drove down a short, narrow, sandy track to camp beside the lake.

Most of our cooking for dinner is done on the pig as it improves the flavour of our meals and helps to warm us up before going to bed. We do not use it in the mornings when we are moving on.

A family of emus came down for a drink a bit further along the shore from us.
