Kimberleys Trip 15 June 2019

The door on the camper had some issues so Darryl fixed it. We drove back to Fitzroy Crossing and were hoping to go to the Tourist Information, but apparently tourists only come to this area during the week! (It was closed). We had morning tea and I did some work while Darryl fixed the reversing camera which was hanging by its wires. We made it to Geike Gorge in time for lunch. It was stinking hot, but we walked along the Fitzroy River and saw some freshwater crocs sunning themselves on a sandbank.

Going up the other way we saw the gorge and then did a little walk around the sandstone of the Devonian Reef.

Back on the road we were planning to get to Mary Pool for the night, but stopped at Ngumpan Cliffs instead where we enjoyed sweeping views & a colourful sunset. This place had lots of crows and blew gustily most of the night. We were being rocked so severely I could hear the water in our tanks sloshing, so I didn't sleep much at all.
